As Art Director and Designer for Hexagram, I helped concept and design Live@Expo, an ambitious interactive livestream platform developed for Expo 2020 Dubai. Challenged by Expo to reimagine what live streaming could be on a global stage, we co-created a first-of-its-kind guided broadcast experience that brought remote audiences directly into the heart of the 4 km² Expo site.

More than just a tour, Live@Expo invited real-time participation. Viewers could engage with guides through live polling, comment feeds, and interactive gameplay, while visual overlays dynamically displayed maps, leaderboards, and event data. The experience was designed to feel both personal and global — blending editorial storytelling with the immediacy of a video game and the scale of a world’s fair.

Throughout the six-month run, I led the design of visual systems, UI/UX elements, and on-screen data graphics to create a cohesive and intuitive user experience across platforms. My role focused on bringing clarity, energy, and global accessibility to a complex, layered interaction model.

Live@Expo was produced in partnership with Hovercast and streamed across Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook — reaching over 18 million viewers and generating more than 50 million impressions. Participation unlocked "Seeds of Change" — real-world micro-donations that empowered audiences to support global causes aligned with Expo’s mission.

The project was recognized for its innovation with a Producer’s Guild Innovation Award nomination, and stands as a model for what’s possible when broadcast, interaction, and global storytelling intersect.
