SELECTED WORKS
Creative Director | Immersive Storytelling | Interactive Play Systems
I love creating interactive experiences that spark curiosity, joy, and connection. I guide multi-disciplinary teams while actively aiding the process with storyboards, animatics, and wireframes that helps us transform ideas into delightful worlds. Below are a few selected projects that exemplify my interactive narrative prototypes and projects that bloom with participation and play.
LITTLE WONDER | Creator & Creative Director | Interactive Animated Film Prototype · Magic Leap
LITTLE WONDER is a celebratory AR experience that invites audiences to explore the magic of our little planet, connecting science, nature, and humanity through curiosity.
Supported by development funding from Magic Leap, I conceived, wrote, and led a cross-disciplinary team of developers, artists, and musicians to craft a seven-minute mixed reality prototype in just 15 weeks. The experience unfolds as a responsive world where narrative evolves with audience movement, voice, and gesture. Spatial computing tools were treated as creative materials, with head and eye tracking, hand gestures, surface recognition, positional audio, particle-based spatial design, string-and-balloon physics, and live microphone input all orchestrated to deepen wonder and emotional connection. The project celebrates joyful exploration, co-creation, and discovery. Moments from our prototype and story can be explored above.
VIV in THE ILLUMINATOR | Creator & Creative Director | Mixed Reality Narrative Prototype · Disney
VIV IN THE ILLUMINATOR is an interactive cinematic story following a fledgling bird and a young girl, both navigating adolescence and the courage to “leave the nest.”
Developed through a Disney narrative and interaction development deal, for Apple TV and iOS devices, the project introduced The Illuminator, letting audiences shift between two stories to uncover emotional parallels through intuitive interaction. In an accelerated three-month studio to lab phase, the prototype leveraged real-time animation and responsive systems to explore how story and interactivity could flourish together. Designed to nurture empathy and perspective taking, it invites audiences to step into another’s world and see it through their eyes. Meet Viv and Nora’s story in our prototype and my narrative materials above.
HUE | Creator & Creative Director | VR Interactive Narrative · Independent Project
HUE, is an interactive tale about a man who has lost his ability to see color. It tells a universal story about how it feels to be sad and how to communicate with sad people.
Developed through the 2016 Sundance New Frontier Lab, I conceived and led a multidisciplinary team of VR developers, 3D artists, and sound designers to create a seven-minute interactive prototype. Touch-based interactions, spatial audio, and responsive environmental cues allow the world to react dynamically to audience attention and touch. HUE premiered at the at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, the Festival De Cannes, and was a finalist at the Future of Storytelling Prize: People's Choice Award. Hue’s journey and story can be discovered in the video and materials above.
FREE THE NIGHT | Creator & Creative Director | VR Interactive Narrative · Microsoft
FREE THE NIGHT is a 6DoF interactive VR experience, created for Microsoft’s Windows Mixed Reality launch, that invites audiences to discover embodied play in virtual space. Set in twilight canyons overlooking an iconic city, participants extinguish street lamps like wildflowers and guide lights from buildings with simple gestures, releasing playful embers that swirl around before returning to the sky.
I originated and led the project as a narrative-first VR experience, designing intuitive interactions for first-time VR users while offering depth and expressive play. Developed alongside Microsoft during the final stages of their SDK, we created a custom GPU-based particle system in Unity, allowing particles to react dynamically and tell story through movement, behavior, and visual form. Premiered in flagship Microsoft stores and at Future of Storytelling 2017, and later presented at SIGGRAPH, the experience combines technical innovation, warmth, and delight, encouraging exploration, curiosity, and co-creation. EXPO CHARACTER KIOSKS | Creative Director & Lead Designer | Interactive Installation · Expo 2020
For Expo 2020 Dubai, I led the design at Hexagram for of three interactive kiosks that connected visitors’ presence to playful, responsive systems. Stereoscopic cameras created an augmented reality world inside conventional displays, tracking poses, gestures, and dance moves. Interactions were activated via QR codes, seamlessly loading experiences on visitors’ mobile devices, with each guest receiving a unique digital takeaway.
I guided a multidisciplinary team of animators, developers, and engineers, creating storyboards, animatics, and visual identity to align interaction, timing, and tone. Systems like face and pose detection and AR overlays were treated as playful materials, creating intuitive, culturally inclusive experiences. Interacted with by ten thousand plus visitors, these installations demonstrated how responsive systems spark curiosity, invite exploration, and leave lasting joyful connections. MULTIPLE PROJECTS | Creative Lead | Internal R&D Interactive Experiences · Cirque Du Soleil
I had the pleasure of working with Cirque du Soleil over a five-year period, beginning with Movi Kanti Revo, a sensory browser-based experience that lets audiences navigate a surreal world of movement, sound, and emotion through gesture and tone. Merging cinematic storytelling with emerging web standards, it responded to head movements and audio in real time. The project was an official Google Sandbox project and earned recognition at SXSW and FWA, showcasing how narrative, interaction, and technology can create immersive, magical experiences online.
Following this collaboration, I partnered with Cirque on internal R&D projects exploring the evolving relationship between live performance and digital interactivity. I developed a narrative-rich smartphone prototype for MJ ONE, extending the live show through AR encounters and interactive storytelling. Working closely with the production team in Las Vegas, I delivered a fully functional prototype that sent narratively driven content to individual smartphones via Sonar, synchronized with the theater’s audio to deepen audience immersion.
Across other initiatives, I advised on interactive storytelling for new shows, engagement strategies, and multisensory integration for a large-scale music festival, collaborating with artists, technologists, and strategists to explore hybrid and digital performance. Explore the prototypes and some internal experiments above.
JOYFINDER | Creator & Creative Director | Game Prototype · Independent Project
JOY FINDER is a playful side scrolling game where our actions reveal jubilation. Through simple gestures and taps, players propel Yellow Fellow, an expressive active ragdoll, through a world filled with everyday wonders (you know, like ice cream sundaes, googly eyed beetles, rainbow donuts, laughing lemurs) to uncover joy hidden in plain sight.
As Yellow Fellow tumbles, collides, and explores, the world responds. Anything he touches blossoms into procedural bursts of delight. Joy is not collected, it is restored. Designed to be welcoming across ages and abilities, Joy Finder uses intuitive play and expressive feedback to reward exploration rather than mastery. Take a peek at the prototype and materials above.
MELODY | Creator & Creative Director | Immersive Interactive Experience
Melody is an interactive experience celebrating the universal power of music and singing to connect people. Audiences engage directly with sound to shape a responsive, immersive environment, where participation and collaboration reveal new layers of story and spectacle. The project explores playful interactivity, collective engagement, and the joy of co-creation, inviting audiences to step into a living musical world. Melody is currently in development, with further details available under NDA.
